Head of Development

🌎 US - Remote with travel

💸$300 - $350K Base + Bonus + Equity

Responsibilities

• Lead the full development lifecycle for large-scale data center campuses, from site identification and feasibility through entitlements, permitting, utility coordination and NTP.
• Manage the development of GW-scale data center campuses, coordinating land, power, infrastructure, commercial, engineering and pre-construction workstreams.
• Lead power and energy development strategy, including onsite gas-fired generation, utility interconnection and engagement with IPPs, utilities and other energy partners.
• Own project development schedules, budgets, risk management and investment milestones while coordinating internal teams, consultants, contractors and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 15+ years of development experience, with a minimum of 5 years of large-scale data center development.
• Significant experience developing hyperscale or large-scale data center campuses through pre-construction and into construction.
• Demonstrable experience with onsite gas-fired generation, including working with IPPs, utilities and power-sector partners to secure generation capacity is a plus.
• Proven track record managing complex, capital-intensive development programs, ideally including projects at the GW scale.
• Strong commercial and leadership background with experience managing multidisciplinary teams across land, power, permitting, engineering, construction and external stakeholder relationships.
