VP of Site Selection

Location: US - Remote with travel

Salary: $250k to $300k plus bonus and equity

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of sites for hyperscale and AI data center developments across the US. 
• Develop and execute the company's site selection strategy, assessing power availability, fiber connectivity, land, water, permitting, and market fundamentals.
• Negotiate land purchases, ground leases, option agreements, and incentive packages with landowners, utilities, and government agencies.
• Partner with Development, Power, Engineering, and Legal teams to advance projects from site origination through site control and development.
• Build and maintain relationships with utilities, brokers, economic development organizations, and other stakeholders to create a robust pipeline of development opportunities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in site selection, real estate development, infrastructure development, or data center development.
• Proven experience securing sites for large-scale data centers sites across the US. 
• Strong understanding of utility power infrastructure, transmission and distribution, permitting, zoning, and land acquisition processes.
• Demonstrated success negotiating complex real estate transactions and development agreements.
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Business, Planning, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
