Head of Asset Management & Operations

Kinekta are partnered with a growing IPP in the US that focuses on thermal and renewable energy power generation across the US. They are searching for a Head of Asset management and Operations to join their team to lead their portfolio commercial, financial and operations.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute asset management and operations strategy across thermal and renewable assets.
• Lead plant operations and O&M oversight, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage financial performance including budgets, forecasts, reporting, and capital planning.
• Optimize portfolio value through performance improvements, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Build and lead a high-performing team aligned to operational and strategic goals.

Requirements

• 10-15+ years of experience in the power sector with asset management and operations leadership.
• Expertise across both thermal/natural gas and renewable generation portfolios in the US.
• Strong knowledge of power markets, commercial strategy, and financial structures.
• Track record of driving operational performance and portfolio optimization at scale.
• Strong financial acumen and experience working with lenders, investors, and regulators.
