Transport & Installation Package Manager - Offshore Cables (Export & Array)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Installation Package Manager to lead the safe and efficient transportation and installation of offshore cables (export and/or array) within a major offshore wind project. This role is responsible for delivering the cable installation scope in line with programme, budget, quality and industry best practice, ensuring full compliance with HSE and regulatory requirements.
The position operates on a hybrid basis (site, office and home working) and is assessed as Outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination and execution of offshore cable transport and installation activities.
- Deliver the package in accordance with agreed programme milestones, budget, quality standards and project KPIs.
- Negotiate and manage transport and installation contracts, working closely with Contract Management, Procurement and Legal teams.
- Develop and maintain the package programme and budget, proactively managing risk and opportunities.
- Interface effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties including contractors, marine warranty surveyors and regulatory bodies.
- Drive strong HSE performance within the package, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation including the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and CDM 2015.
- Report progress, risks and performance to the project leadership team in line with project governance frameworks.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary, matrix project team to ensure safe, timely and value-optimised delivery.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Marine Logistics, Renewable Energy or a related engineering/science discipline.
- Significant demonstrable experience in project management and successful execution of offshore wind farm projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience in the transportation and installation of offshore cables (export and/or array).
- Demonstrable experience managing offshore construction and vessel charter contracts.
- Proven competence in offshore HSE management and site safety compliance.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
