Distribution Designer

Kinekta are currently working with an extremely well renowned Utility Consulting Company who are hiring several Distribution Designers to join their teams located in Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio, working on a wide range of projects across Residential, and Commercial.
The role also involves collaborating with other work packages and projects to share knowledge and experiences.
Essential qualifications for candidates:
- Associate’s or certificate in Electric Power Technology and/or High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience with electric distribution design
- Qualified candidates must hold a valid Texas Driver’s License with insurable driving record and have no issues passing a Drug Screen and Background check.
- Permit acquisition experience on TxDOT, City, Council, State and Federal applications/procedures
- Operation and maintenance knowledge of electrical distribution systems, framing execution and construction procedures
Desirable experience:
- Reconducturing, Subdivision Design, System Reinforcement/Hardening
- Experience working with Smallword, Bentley, PLS CADD, Maximo
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
