Business Development Manager (Renewables)

Kinekta are currently working with a global energy player committed to expediting the transition to a carbon-neutral world through the provision of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions. With more than two decades of experience in the UK energy market, they concentrate their investments on renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and hydro, as well as innovative energy storage solutions.
They are currently seeking a Business Development Manager based in London, to be responsible for supporting the commercial optimisation of development projects across the onshore wind sector.
This is a full-time permanent role with a 37-hour working week. They have embraced a hybrid way of working, requiring an average of 2 days per week of office attendance. They offer a competitive salary, bonus, and benefits package to the successful candidate.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior experience in developing renewable projects in the UK, including land identification/acquisition, grid connection, planning consents, corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and participation in Contracts for Difference (CFD) auctions.
- Degree qualification with relevant professional qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Proactive and self-starting attitude.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, capable of working with senior stakeholders across multiple disciplines and possessing excellent communication abilities.
- Familiarity with Route-to-Market options, such as CFDs and corporate PPAs, for renewable projects.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK electricity sector and associated regulations.
- Ability to optimise costs, both in terms of capital and operations & maintenance (O&M).
- Comprehensive understanding of the sector landscape, including relevant stakeholders like offtakers and contractors.
