Offshore Wind Turbine Technician (Competent Technician) x5

  • Lowestoft, Suffolk
  • £500 - £550 per day

Day Rates:

  • Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV): £500–£550/day onsite
  • Service Operations Vessel (SOV): £350–£450/day remote

Overview

We are seeking experienced Offshore Wind Turbine Technicians to support the maintenance, servicing and inspection of offshore wind turbine assets. The successful candidates will ensure turbines are maintained safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a strong safety culture and support the wider Operations Team in delivering HSE objectives
  • Carry out turbine maintenance and servicing, including routine servicing, inspections, retrofits, reactive and proactive repairs, and main component exchanges
  • Support wider site operations including spares, projects and non-routine works

Working Pattern

  • 14 days on / 14 days off rotation, working up to 12 hours per day
  • Base location: Lowestoft
  • Please Note: This is a flexible role flexible role with periods of working from Service Operations Vessel (SOV) and Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) deployment depending on operational schedule

Role Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Wind Turbine Technician in O&M, OR heavy industrial background with multi-system fault-finding capability
  • Strong understanding of HSSE systems and safe systems of work
  • Experience working under Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) as a Competent or Authorised Technician
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Comfortable working at height and at sea

Mandatory Certifications / Training

  • Full GWO certificate, including valid Offshore Medical & Chester Step Test
  • Trained to GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA / PHEM Level C) with cross-certification in HSE First Aid at Work
  • Wind turbine servicing & maintenance experience
  • Experience working under WTSR
  • Slinger Banksman
  • Generic Crane User (or equivalent)

Required (or equivalent):

  • GWO BTT (Technical Training)
  • Skyman user training
  • WTSR Course (Module 1)

Nice to have:

  • Advanced First Aid (e.g., EURIKA)
  • Engineering qualification
  • Offshore SWP 3.6MW 107/120 turbine experience
  • WTSR Module 2 (advantageous)
