Offshore Consents Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Offshore Consents Manager to join our team. As the Offshore Consents Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our offshore projects are conducted in compliance with all relevant permits, licenses, and consents. Your expertise will be essential in navigating complex regulatory environments and managing stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all offshore activities comply with local, regional, and national regulations, including environmental, safety, and operational requirements.
  • Permit and License Management: Identify, obtain, and manage all necessary permits, licenses, and consents for offshore projects. This includes coordinating with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with regulators, government agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders to facilitate the permit and consent acquisition process.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of permits and consents, prepare reports, and submit required documentation to regulatory authorities.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and environmental specialists, to ensure compliance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Environmental Impact Assessment: Oversee the assessment of environmental impacts associated with offshore projects and ensure that mitigation measures are implemented.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, marine biology, engineering, or a related discipline).
  • Proven experience in offshore consents management, regulatory affairs, or a similar role within the offshore industry.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore regulatory frameworks, environmental legislation, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies.
