EIA Consultant - Offshore Wind

Our client is a global environmental consultancy that specialises in providing planning and environmental services to the offshore wind farm sector. They have supported several significant development projects across the UK energy industry, working across all project phases, including site selection and feasibility, the EIA and consenting process, and the post-consent project execution phase. 

Due to their continued growth and expansion in their project portfolio, they are currently looking to hire multiple EIA Consultants to support the management and delivery of consent applications for multi-billion-pound infrastructure projects throughout the UK. Ideal candidates will have experience in marine or coastal projects, preferably within an environmental consultancy, and specifically within the offshore wind sector. However, the company is open to considering applicants with transferable skills from other onshore infrastructure projects. 

Essential qualifications for candidates:  

  • BSc or MSc in a Marine or Environmental discipline. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant practical experience with marine ecology.
  • A track record of supporting or delivering EIA and/or HRA for offshore infrastructure development projects in the UK.  
  • Candidates should also have experience working within the planning process, ideally in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and/or the Republic of Ireland. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, organisational and time management skills, a professional manner, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. 

Desirable qualifications include:  

  • Being a Chartered Member of a relevant professional organization or working towards such accreditation.
  • Having experience working with regulators and stakeholders.
